Artist's reflection: When cycling from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China, Hong's eyes suddenly lit up. Whether it was the sky or straws of wheat, everything was lit up by the rapeseed flowers - letting him know the meaning of the words "bring spring".
 
Hong Yu, who is originally from a rural setting, has a deep connection with the four seasons and a special affection for their characteristics including the rain, snow, wind and frost. During his 1,000+ kilometer journey from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China he captured these characteristics and the atmosphere that enveloped him. Through his artwork, Hong likes to convey to others what he sees and how his heart interprets it.
