Artist: Hong Yu
 
Artist's reflection: Hong looks beyond simply painting the landscape to lure in viewers of his contemporaryart. He does this through the use of short, long, wavy and swirling brush strokes; and the application of the right colors. 
 
Hong Yu, who is originally from a rural setting, has a deep connection with the four seasons and a special affection for their characteristics including the rain, snow, wind and frost. During his 1,000+ kilometer journey from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China he captured these characteristics and the atmosphere that enveloped him. Through his artwork, Hong likes to convey to others what he sees and how his heart interprets it.
