Artist's reflection: In this painting, a pile of weeds is abandoned on the roadside, waiting to be organized and removed. Renewal in nature is normal and I keep it in my heart in my own way. Although it doesn't impact me, it is a kind of comfort.
 
The silence in Zhang’s paintings comes from the peacefulness of his soul. In his paintings, it is as though each color is painted on a limestone colored wall. The colors used are infiltrated by gray and white tones – thus losing their original strength, but softly and elegantly blending together.
