HUANG LIYAN

Contemporary Chinese artist Huang Liyan's unique style of artwork focuses on oil paintings. His paintings have a far-reaching attitude from the edge of reality – through calm and introspective thinking – in seemingly chaotic, saturated gray that delivers strangeness and subtlety to people, animals, plants, scenery and other forms. The composition of his works is mixed with the chromaticity of the mutual touch, and  corresponding adsorption, so that the meaning hidden in the image jumps out, has unconventional visual tension through representation, and presents an uninformed mysteriousness, and tortuous context.
